Summer Fellowship
The Chariot Summer Research Fellowship (CSRF) was formed in 2017 to provide an opportunity for students interested in anesthesiology with clinical exposure and involvement in cutting-edge research. Students will spend time shadowing in the operating room, interacting with patients in research studies, as well as writing up their findings for submission to conferences. Some of our current projects involve the use of technology, such as virtual reality, augmented reality, video projection, or interactive video games, to address anxiety in hospitalized patients undergoing procedures and diagnostic studies.
Attentive mentors are readily available to help guide students in their journey through medicine, as well as push students to continuously challenge themselves. CSRF will be both a fun and highly rewarding experience. Additionally, fellows will have the opportunity to build lasting collaborative relationships with each other, all while exploring what the beautiful campus of Stanford has to offer.
Fellowship Application Season starts in December and ends in February. Applicants should be willing to dedicate a minimum of 6 weeks full-time during the summer to the fellowship.
2025 Summer Fellows
Emilia Callahan recently graduated from Dartmouth College on the pre-health track. She hopes to attend medical school and pursue pediatric anesthesiology.
Simon Hua is a rising sophomore at the University of Southern California where he is on the pre-med track studying Health Promotion in Keck Medicines school for Undergraduates.
Currently a dual enrollment student with College of San Mateo, Audrey Majzun is excited to work with immersive technology in the hospital setting. Her long term goal is to be a pediatric anesthesiologist.
Luna Muhamad is a third-year medical student at the University of Missouri–Kansas City. She aims to become an anesthesiologist and make a lasting impact through compassionate, patient-centered care.
Roman Pati is a rising fourth-year undergraduate student at Washington University in St. Louis who is passionate about improving patient care through non-pharmacological interventions. He is currently applying to medical school with the goal of eventually becoming a physician-investigator.
Kanch Sridhar is a rising second-year medical student at the Carle Illinois College of Medicine at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a FAER scholar. Inspired by her work at NASA, she’s interested in how creative problem-solving under constraints can drive cross-disciplinary innovation in healthcare.
